eastPLUGGED®20

Night Walker│11 February 2022

Vincent Peirani [acc]│Émile Parisien [ssax] │Tony Paeleman [kb] │Julien Herné [b]│Yoann Serra [dr]

Due to the pandemic, the 20th eastPLUGGED® concert could only take place in the fourth attempt, and mainly because Vincent Peirani wanted to play this last concert of his quintet, performing since many years, and now in Ratingen, what an honour! Vincent himself calls his band members, above all the ingenious saxophonist Émile Parisien, Tony Paeleman on Fender Rhodes, Julien Herné [b] and the drummer Yoann Serra, "family members" “but nevertheless" they played a harmonious, powerful, consistent and variable concert this night in the Friedenskirche. Many compositions by Vincent (such as "unknown chemistry"), including a great arrangement for his son ("Enzo") found a place in it as well as pieces by Led Zeppelin, in which the accordion became a rock instrument, all led by Émile's soprano saxophone into a special acoustic sphere. And yet - as so often at eastPLUGGED® - it was an encore that ensured that the guests left the Friedenskirche not only with a bottle of eastPLUGGED® Pinot Blanc as a gift from the Foundation, but also musically inspired: an outstanding accordion solo by Vincent Peirani.

Nous sommes très reconnaissants que vous ayez joué le dernier concert de cette quintette chez nous. C' était magnifique. Merci beaucoup Vincent, Émile, Yoann, Julien et Tony, et bonne chance pour vos nouvelles aventures musicales.
