Since music has a special place in the Friedenskirche, it was obvious to celebrate the church's 50th birthday with a concert. It was a great pleasure to experience Tord Gustavsen [p], Uwe Steinmetz [sax] and Siv Øyunn Kjenstad [dr, voc] in a trio with a program especially created for this occasion. Based on texts by Martin Luther to compositions written by Tord Gustavsen, all pieces dealt with experiences of peace and its fragility. The artistic class of the trio strengthened the intensity of their musical expression further, so that this concert night not only ended with minutes of applause from the enthusiastic audience, but will continue to resonate in us for a long time.
