NIGHTHAWKS

There are many NIGHTHAWKS. One of the most popular ones is a work from Edward Hopper, showing 3 guests in a bar, staring into space, possibly because of the bombing of Pearl Harbor which happened a few days before this painting was created in 1941.

During the concert by Dal Martino [b], Thomas Alkier [dr], Jürgen Dahmen [perc], Jörg Lehnardt [git] and Reiner Winterschladen [tr], performing as "NIGHTHAWKS" for over 25 years, the eastPLUGGED® audience experienced exactly the opposite of any such desperation. After the welcome drink, the new Pinot Gris eastPLUGGED® edition, we experienced a fascinating musical mix of powerful melodies, groovy Rhodes sounds, rich basses, furious percussion moments, musical dialogues between bass and keyboard and over all: the trumpet/flugelhorn of Reiner Winterschladen and a musical journey from "Norways" via "Frankfurt-Trancoso", including "Jetlag" to the "Moon" (these were the titles of some of the played tunes). Thus we enjoyed 100 exciting minutes within the exceptional sound space of the Friedenskirche.
